The tracking fields are Durablend Tall Fescue sod, soil is basic clay-loam. They will apply fertilizer & any other applications in early September, so they will not interfere with the AWMA National Championship
The tracking fields are about a 30 minute drive from the Stadium.
The articles used for tracking are being provided by Ruffdog Sports. Shown in the picture above, they are top to bottom: wood, felt, leather.

I have loved, studied and trained dogs since my Ohio 4-H days in high school. I trained pet dogs professionally for many years and have competed at national and international schutzhund trials with two HOT malinois, and a German shepherd. I love to support club dogs and really enjoy helping new handlers and seeing them reach their training goals. Over a 25+ year career, I have helped many handlers achieve schutzhund titles and supported local search and rescue and nosework groups as well. I believe a good working dog can come from almost any breed, but I mostly own and handle malinois. I am excited for the opportunity to serve as Tracking Coordinator and look forward to meeting many good dogs and dog sport friends in the process.

The tracking coordinator will ensure that all spectators remain at a designated vantage point far enough from all tracks so that such spectators do not inadvertently interfere with or purposely aid the competitors.
Prior to the competition, the tracking coordinator and tracking judge will instruct the tracklayers to lay uniform and consistent tracks. The tracklayers will also be advised to not engage in any form of communication with the handlers or members of the handlers’ teams.
All tracking lines must be checked and marked with a ziptie or something unannounced and not readily attainable from a local store to prevent substitution of another line.
Using a completely random process, tracking order must be drawn at the tracking field and not at the parking lot or other locations.
All articles and flags numbered prior to the draw.
Tracking fields must be pre-designated by flights and held in escrow by the AWMA president or designee to ensure tracking fields are not selected or reassigned AFTER the draw.
